Butler School District property taxes will not be increased more than 3 percent next year.
The school board unanimously approved a resolution on Monday night stating that it does not plan to raise taxes above the state-set limit, which is 3.1 percent for Butler for the 2018-19 school year.
The administration plans to present a preliminary budget to the school board next month. Superintendent Dr. Brian White said he will “tighten expenses” in an attempt to avoid any tax increase.
