The Butler Area School Board is continuing to discuss reorganization options with administration and figuring out how to best use community feedback.
Superintendent Dr. Brian White informed the board that he has arranged for two retired superintendents to function as neutral facilitators of the Committee of School Reorganization. Dr. Bart Rocco recently retired as superintendent from the Elizabeth Forward School District while Dr. Billie Pearce Rondinelli retired last year as superintendent of the South Fayette Township School District.
This committee will meet four times October and November to discuss options for reorganization. The board is expected to provide more specific guidance about what options will be considered after more information from a recent community survey is received from administration next week.
This committee will include at least one parent representative from each school selected by vote of all the parents from among those who express interest to school administrators.
