A pedestrian who was struck by a tractor-trailer Thursday morning in Jackson Township on I-79 has died.
Our news partners at WPXI-TV are reporting that police believe the man walked in front of the truck on purpose.
The accident happened just after 7:30 a.m. on I-79 northbound near the Route 528 bridge. Police say the truck driver did everything to avoid the man, but ended up striking him.
Police say the victim is local but are not releasing his identity. The truck driver will not be facing charges.
