A staggering number of COVID deaths were reported over the past four days by Butler Health System.
According to an update this morning, 12 people died due to COVID since Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital. That’s one of the largest numbers the hospital has reported over the past two years.
Meanwhile, 50 patients are currently being treated for the coronavirus, with nine in the ICU.
With the recent surge of COVID cases and hospitalizations, Butler Health System officials are strongly encouraging people to get vaccinated.
They also add that if you are due for a booster shot, to schedule one today. The CDC recently said any adult over 18 that had their 2nd shot six months ago, should receive a booster now.
