The Chicago Blackhawks snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins last night. Bryan Rust scored all three Penguins goals. Casey DeSmith stopped 23 of 27 shots on goal for the Penguins, but was outplayed by Chicago goaltender Corey Crawford who stopped 40 of the 43 Penguins shots.
Prior to Wednesday’s game, the Penguins activated goaltender Matt Murray from injured reserve. The Pens host back-to-back home games this weekend. The Boston Bruins come to PPG Paints Arena Friday, followed by the Los Angeles Kings Saturday.
