A new bill in Harrisburg would eliminate automatic pay raises for lawmakers.
The proposal was introduced by State Representative Gerald Mullery, which comes just weeks after a nearly $5,000 pay raise for legislators.
He says that automatic raises are not guaranteed to all Pennsylvania workers, and that should be the same for elected officials.
The new bill would repeal a 1983 law that gave the legislation raises tied to annual cost-of-living adjustments.
