Firearms bear season has come to a conclusion, and it looks like this year’s numbers will fall short of the previous record set in 2019.
The four-day firearms season recorded a total of 1,155 bears harvested, which is also down from 2019.
Year-to-date, there have been 3,135 bears harvested for all seasons. In last year’s record setting seasons, there were 4,653 total—breaking the previous record of 2011.
