Armco Credit Union is offering a financial literacy program to local high school students.
The web-based program is called Banzai and is available for free to any local high school teacher interested in covering topics such as budgeting, using credit wisely, and developing saving habits.
The Banzai program allows students to enter a virtual world of decision making that includes scenarios like paying rent, making lifestyle choices, and dealing with taxes. Students can work at their own pace and on their own device with a limited amount of classroom work.
Teachers may order free workbooks that compliment the online lessons through questions, games, and word problems. Those interested should visit Armco Credit Union’s website to view a demo and register.
