American Pharoah is the favorite to win the Belmont Stakes Saturday in New York. The Bob Baffert-trained horse is attempting to become the first Triple Crown winner since 1978. American Pharoah is currently a 3-5 favorite after winning the Kentucky Derby and dominating the Preakness Stakes in May. Jockey Victor Espinoza will be attempting his third ride to the Triple Crown. He was atop California Chrome last year and War Emblem in 2002 and could not complete the feat.
Frosted is a 5-1 favorite, while Materiality is 6-1 and appear to be the biggest threats to American Pharoah in the eight horse field.
