New York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German became the first Dominican Republic pitcher to throw a perfect game in an 11-0 victory over the Oakland A’s. German threw just 99 pitches to throw the first perfect game in the majors since Felix Hernandez of Seattle in August of 2012. He is also the first player in MLB history to throw a perfect game after allowing 10-plus runs in his previous start.
