Local motorists should be aware of day and night lane restrictions planned this week as part of a paving project on Interstate 79.
Work will take place on I-79 North between Exit 88 (Seneca Valley) and Exit 105 (Slippery Rock) in Jackson, Lancaster, Muddy Creek and Worth Townships.
24-hour paving will begin Monday at Exit 88 northbound and continue to Exit 105 before moving to the southbound side. This project will include milling, patching and paving of 16 miles of four-lane highway, plus drainage and bridgework.
Motorists should expect congestion and delays in times of increased traffic. The $26 million resurfacing project is expected to be completed sometime this fall.
