The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Washington Capitals tonight at PPG Paints Arena. Face-off is 7pm. The Capitals won the most recent meeting 4-1, back in November. WISR will join the game following Knoch basketball.
The Pens visit New Jersey tomorrow night.
The Pens will be without winger Conor Sheary, who is out “week-to-week” with a “lower body injury”. Bryan Rust will move to the top line and join Sidney Crosby and Dominik Simon.
Penguins center Evgeni Malkin has been named the NHL’s “First Star” for the month of January. Malkin led the NHL with 12 goals and had 12 assists in helping to lead the Pens to a 9-3 record last month. He also had three game-winning goals.
