The Butler BlueSox fell 7-1 to the Lafayette Aviators last night. The Sox host the Kokomo Jackrabbits tonight at Saturday. Both games begin at 7:05pm and will be followed by fireworks. Kokomo leads the Prospect League Eastern Division by two games over Chillicothe heading into the final week of the regular season.
In the Western Division, there is quite a battle for the top spot. Terre Haute and Danville are tied for first place. Quincy is two games back. Springfield is three back.
The Altoona Curve defeated the Binghampton Rumble Ponies 8-7 last night thanks to outfielder Bryan Reynolds’ three-run walk-off home run. Reynolds was part of the Pirates Andrew McCutchen trade with San Francisco. Third baseman Will Craig hit his 18th home run of the year. He leads the Eastern League with 81 RBI’s.
