It’s a scenario we’ve experienced several times since the start of 2018: wake up, see snow and hear about school delays.
Light snow started falling late Monday afternoon and it continued to fall– off and on– throughout the overnight. Many woke up Tuesday morning to between 2-3 inches of additional snow on the ground.
Road crews worked overnight to keep roads passably. Before daybreak on Tuesday, many main roads were just wet but side and residential streets were largely snow-covered.
All nine public school districts in Butler County decided to delay the start of classes by two hours.
According to the National Weather Service, snow showers will remain through late Tuesday morning, with an additional inch expected. Temperatures will stay in the low to mid-20s before it gets bitterly cold tonight. A low of 2 expected.
