The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 last night at PNC Park. Jordy Mercer led the Bucs with a three hit night and driving in four runs. Starling Marte extended his batting streak to eight games with a two-hit night. Jameson Taillon allowed four hits and a run over six innings. He struck out a career-high 10 batters for his sixth win of the season.
The Bucs host the Brewers again tonight at 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am will be 6:40pm.
The Pirates play a doubleheader with Milwaukee Saturday. First game begins at 12:35pm. (WISR pre-game is 12:10pm.
The Major League Baseball All-Star break begins Monday.
