An accident involving a tractor trailer blocked a portion of Interstate 80 just north of Butler County late Friday morning.
Clintonville Fire Chief Gerry Rea said the crash happened just before 10 a.m. on the westbound side of I-80 in Irwin Township, Venango County, specifically at the 31.5 mile marker.
“A semi and a car collided,” Rea told our newsroom. “Interstate 80 westbound is completely closed. We’re trying to get it opened up.”
Rea said the back of the vehicle was actually stuck under the semi truck’s trailer. Miraculously, he says no one was injured.
Crews had I-80 reopened by 12:15 p.m.
