A young driver took home the checkered flag on Saturday night in NASCAR’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.
Erik Jones, a 22-year-old driver who was the points champion during the 2015 Camping World Truck Series season, found his way to Victory Lane after passing Martin Truex Jr. on the final lap. Saturday’s win was the first Monster Energy Series win for Jones. Truex Jr. ended up finishing second in Saturday’s race.
The NASCAR Monster Energy Series will return to action on Saturday night (7/14) as they race the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky. You can catch all of the action, starting with prerace coverage on WBUT 1050AM at 6:30pm.
