Mario Lemieux and Ron Burkle are exploring the possibility of selling the Pittsburgh Penguins. The co-owners have retained the Morgan Stanley investment firm to review various interests. Lemieux has stated he would still want to be a part of the team, and may be looking as investors to enhance the value of the franchise. The two took control of the team in 1999, and have solidified its standing in the NHL. The Pens are considered the 10th most valuable team in the league.
