The Knoch Knights will face Montour Thursday in the PIAA Triple-A baseball quarterfinals. Montour defeated Erie Cathedral Prep 3-0 last night in Erie in their state tournament first round game. The Knoch-Montour game is a rematch of their WPIAL semi-final game that the Knights won 3-0. (Site and Time is to be determined.)
WPIAL runner-up West Allegheny is also still alive in the PIAA tournament after defeating Bellefonte 8-1. They will meet Donegal Thursday in Hollidaysburg.
In the PIAA boys volleyball semi-finals last night, Fox Chapel defeated Seneca Valley 3-2, in a back and forth five-set match to reach the state championship game.
