SRU’s Martin accepts East-West Shrine Bowl invite

Slippery Rock University senior defensive end Marcus Martin has officially accepted an invitation to play in the 93rd Annual East-West Shrine Game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida January 20th. Martin becomes the second player in Slippery Rock program history to accept an invite to the Shrine Game and becomes just the third player from The Rock to accept an invite to one of the top two senior all-star games. Former NFL running back Chuck Sanders played in the 1986 Shrine Game and current NFL offensive lineman Brandon Fusco played in the 2011 Senior Bowl.
