Mars High School has named their valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2018.
Deepayan Patra, 16, was top of his class, as well as president of the Mars STEM Club; finalist for in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program and winner of the U.S. Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award.
He will attend Carnegie Mellon University and major in computer science.
Nathan Walker, 18, is this year’s salutatorian. He was a member of the National Honor Society and received the U.S. Navy Outstanding Scholar Award. He will also attend CMU and major in chemistry and Spanish.
