A longtime establishment in Saxonburg is closing.
The Hotel Saxonburg announced that they are shutting down operations.
In a social media post, the owners cited health issues, rising costs of food, and growing expenses of the building.
The restaurant has been a longtime institution in Saxonburg after opening in 1832. It was recently purchased by two Sarver residents in the fall of 2023.
It’s believed the closure will take effect immediately.
