The amount of revenue the state brought in during February was slightly more than expected.
The Department of Revenue announced that collections totaled $2.9 billion last month.
This is nearly 2% more than anticipated, but the fiscal year-to-date collections are down by just under a half percent.
Sales tax receipts continue to be the main driver of revenue, bringing in $1.1 billion in February which is over 33 million over estimate. Personal income tax revenue was $1.2 billion and corporation tax revenue was nearly $200 million. The Motor License Fund which includes gas taxes collected nearly $270 million last month, also slightly more than anticipated while the yearly total remains over 5% more than estimated.
