The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is warning motorists to avoid state forest roads as winter storms create hazardous conditions.
These roads are not maintained in winter, and stranded vehicles have already been reported.
The DCNR urges drivers to stay off these roads, warning that GPS may direct them onto unsafe routes.
If travel is necessary, use four-wheel drive, pack emergency supplies, and check conditions ahead of time.
Drivers are asked to stay off the roads until conditions improve.
