A public defender is the latest candidate to announce a bid for the Butler County Court of Common Pleas.
Jake Roberts announced his candidacy to seek one of the two seats that will be open on the court.
Roberts is currently the chief public defender in Clarion County, and previously served as an assistant public defender in Allegheny County.
The 33-year-old says he moved with his family to Butler County 18 months ago and is seeking the seat to ensure “the court serves as a pillar of justice.”
Roberts joins local attorneys Matt McCune and John Scialabba as candidates.
