The Topps baseball card company announced Tuesday that a special print card, which features Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes’ autograph and a jersey patch from the right-hander’s MLB debut, was uncovered by an 11-year old collector from Los Angeles. The 22-year old Skenes was named National League Rookie of the Year following a sensational first MLB season in which he finished top three in Cy Young award voting. Back in November, the Pirates publicly shared the details of a prospective trade with whoever found the collectable card acquired Skenes’ card. That package would include 30 years of Pirates season tickets for two people behind home plate and more.
