One Pennsylvania state lawmaker is preparing for the future with a proposal that looks at legislating flying cars.
State Senator Marty Flynn is proposing “The Jetson Act” which would allow for what he calls “roadable aircrafts” on Pennsylvania roadways.
The law would introduce framework and requirements for licensing, registration, and safety inspections for the roadable aircrafts. It would also enforce vehicles follow current existing traffic laws without causing disruptions or hazards.
Minnesota and New Hampshire currently have similar laws already approved.
Flynn argues that as technology rabidly transforms this forward thinking legislation would addresses operating and equipment requirements.
