A group of Slippery Rock high school students had a chance to learn more about the healthcare industry as part of a field day activity at Slippery Rock University.
Earlier this week, 32 students participated in the first-ever “Healthcare Next Generation” where they were involved in a series of learning lab sessions. The students also visited the Grove City Hospital to see direct care.
SRU officials say the learning labs are a part of an effort to help grow the workforce in the healthcare industry. They hope to expand the program in the future.
