Over $1 billion in grants are now available through the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authorities Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program.
Grants must be used to improve access to broadband through physical improvements, planning, design, engineering, multi-family residential deployment, and more.
Eligible applicants can be private/public companies, municipalities or local governing bodies, non-profit/cooperative organizations, and more.
There is no minimum or maximum grant amount and applications must have a minimum 25% matching funds for the project.
The first round of applications are due by Jan. 21, 2025. More information can be found here.
