Peoples Gas is advising residents to check their furnace so it can run efficiently as temperatures drop.

- Keep space around your furnace clear
- Clear any out-door vents from lint, dust, and even bird nests
- Run the furnace before its too cold to see if it’s in need of repair
These are crucial steps to avoid Carbon Monoxide poisoning which can happen due to faulty, improperly used, or incorrectly vented appliances.
Due to the gas being odorless and colorless People’s advices to purchase CO detectors and place them throughout the house and especially near bedrooms.
