Crews were called to a small house fire in the City of Butler Saturday night.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center just before 9 p.m. for a fire at a home in the 300 block of East Locust Street.
When crews got on scene, they didn’t see any visible flames but found smoke inside the house.
After getting inside, firefighters discovered that the fire started in the kitchen. However, crews say that no one was home at the time of the fire.
Crews then ventilated the house and cleared the scene within a half-hour.
