Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and local residents have two opportunities to dispose of old unused prescription drugs responsibly.
The first event is an annual event in Cranberry Township. It will take place between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the rear of the parking lot at the Municipal Center.
Butler VA is pairing with the Drug Enforcement Administration and they will be collecting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Castle Road Butler VA Campus Parking Lot number 18.
Injectable medicine, syringes, or illegal drugs will not be accepted. Any liquids need to have tightly sealed caps.
Those who cannot make either event can still dispose of prescription pills responsibly by either throwing the pills away separate from the container or removing any personal information from the container.
