A local state representative is hosting a paper shredding event this weekend.
Representative Aaron Bernstine is holding the free shedding event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the Forward Township Municipal Building on Ash Stop Road in Evans City.
Having documents that contain personal or sensitive information shredded can help protect against identity theft. Old phone books, magazines, cards, letters, newspapers, and junk mail should not be brought and instead should be recycled.
No advance registration is necessary.
