Butler Memorial Hospital has received national recognition for outpatient joint replacement.
Healthcare platform, Healthgrades, named the local facility as a winner of the Outpatient Joint Replacement Award.
This designation puts Butler Memorial Hospital in the top 10% nationwide in this particular area as well as one of two hospitals in the western portion of the state.
Independence Health went on to note that Butler Memorial handles hip replacement, rotator cuff, back, and neck surgery, and received a five star rating in outpatient total knee replacement.
In order to arrive at this rating, Healthgrades analyzed patient outcomes from 2021 to 2023 and found a lower risk of complications observed at hospitals that received this award.
