A man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after attacking another man at work.
State police were called to the ALDI Distribution Center on October 19 for 41-year-old Russell Smith Jr., who’s alleged to have slashed the back of a coworker’s neck.
According to the criminal complaint, Smith and the coworker got into an argument. The two were eventually separated, but Smith then attacked the other man from behind with a box cutter.
The victim suffered a significant cut on the back of his neck and police were able to identify the box cutter used in the alleged crime on the scene.
Russell was placed in the Butler County Prison on a $450,000 bail and is facing several charges such as felony one and two aggravated assault. He has a preliminary hearing set for October 29.
