The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking nominations for the river of the year.
The annual award recognizes a river in the Commonwealth that “support Pennsylvania’s $17 billion-dollar outdoor recreation industry, provide habitat for wildlife, and anchor communities.”
Nominations will be accepted on the DCNR’s website through November 11th.
Last year’s winner was the Allegheny River.
