The fall colors are expected to be in full bloom this week across Butler and surrounding counties.
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources say that most of Western PA is now in the “best color” category.
Foresters specifically note that hickory and sugar maples are started to turn, while red maples are holding on to their colors.
There are areas of the Laurel Highland that are starting to fade from best color.
