Jack Black and Kyle Gass’ humorous hard rock band, Tenacious D, are hitting the road this October to encourage music fans to vote in the upcoming U.S. Presidential Election. The five-date tour, which The D announced on Instagram, is supporting the non-profit, Rock The Vote. They will hit the midwest college towns of Columbus, Ohio, on October 21, Bloomington, Indiana, on October 22, Madison, Wisconsin, on October 23, Kalamazoo, Michigan, on October 25, and State College, Pennsylvania on October 26. All these locations are swing states in the coming election.
Tenacious D previously worked with Rock The Vote back in 2020, covering the Rocky Horror Picture Show classic “Time Warp” with Phoebe Bridgers and Karen O to help raise voter awareness. They also released a 7-inch of the star-studded track, with all sales benefiting Rock The Vote. Tickets for Tenacious D’s shows go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 28th at 10 a.m. local time. (Revolver)
