Pirates prospect Bubba Chandler was named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week after his best performance as as pro. The Altoona Curve starter tossed a two-hit shutout over seven innings last Friday and struck out 10. The 21-year old Chandler is the #3 prospect in the Pirates organization. He has walked just three batters while striking out 27 in 22-2/3rds innings this season for Double-A Altoona. He is the first Curve pitcher to receive the honor since Roansy Contreras in 2021.
