Metallica launched the European leg of their M72 Tour in Munich, Germany over the weekend. The band has a “No Repeat Weekend” policy on this tour, playing two-night stands on every stop on the tour and not repeating a single song during their two shows in each city. The heavy metal titans had something special in store for the second show in Munich, playing the 11 minute, ten second track, “Inamorata,” live for the very first time. Frontman James Hetfield had this to say as he introduced the lengthy song: “This next song, we have never, ever played live before. And, you know, in our band we don’t recognize the word ‘mistake,’ because there are no mistakes. There’s just unique moments that happen, all right? That’s what we need to tell ourselves. This one is from 72 Seasons. It’s one of my favorites, so I’m gonna like it.” (Consequence of Sound)
