Police are providing more information on a serious crash that sent two people to the hospital.
The accident happened last Friday afternoon just after 1:30 p.m. on I-79 in Jackson Township near the Evans City exit.
Police say 53-year-old Larry Ferguson of New Castle was driving northbound when he lost control of his vehicle. He went across the median and into the southbound lane.
That’s when his vehicle was hit by 36-year-old Jennifer Cooley of Wexford.
Ferguson suffered serious injuries, while Cooley suffered minor injuries according to police. However, both were taken to area hospitals.
