Cranberry Township is establishing a committee to help with the future of the Powell Farm.
The township’s board of supervisors officially created the Ad-Hoc Powell Farm Advisory Committee, which consists of residents and individuals with an agricultural background. The goal is to preserve the farm and have it be financially sustainable.
The Powell Farm is 71 acres of land that was recently given to the township, with the expectation it would continue to be used as farmland with educational purposes.
