A few local parks will be receiving state grant money for renovations.
Cranberry Township will receive nearly $2.8 million to develop their Community Park with pedestrian walkways, a pavilion, multipurpose fields, lighting, ADA access, and landscaping.
Connoquenessing Borough will use over $98,000 in order to rehabilitate their park through the installation of nature play equipment with safety surfacing as well as pedestrian walkways, ADA access, and landscaping.
Finally, Harmony Borough has been awarded nearly $56,000 to make improvements at their park including a pedestrian walkway, play equipment with safety surfacing, ADA access, and landscaping.
A total of 225 projects are being funded through over $52 million in DCNR grants and local matches.
