The Butler County Coroner has identified the man who died after being hit by a train earlier this week.
The coroner said that 54-year-old Douglas Fudoli of Butler died from blunt force trauma Wednesday morning.
Police say Fudoli was hit by a train around 4:30 a.m. along the railroad tracks on South Monroe Street in the City of Butler.
Fudoli was taken to the hospital with massive trauma to his head and chest—he would later be pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police say the incident was likely accidental, but they are investigating.
