The Pittsburgh Penguins lost 2-1 to the Detroit Red Wings last night in exhibition hockey at PPG Paints Arena. The Pens went 0-for-5 on power plays in the game. None of the Penguins top 13 players were in the lineup last night.
The Pens complete their pre-season Friday night in Buffalo, then open the regular season Tuesday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks.
