The LSU women’s basketball team won their first national championship in school history following a 102-85 victory over Iowa Sunday. Head coach Kim Mulkey became the first women’s coach to win a national title with two different teams. She had previously led Baylor to national championships three times before leaving for the Tigers two years ago.
The men’s national championship game will be played tonight in Houston. UConn and San Diego State meet for a 9:20pm tip-off.
San Diego State shocked Florida Atlantic with a 14-foot shot at the buzzer for a 72-71 victory Saturday. UConn eliminated Miami 72-59 in the other Final Four game.
