The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Boston Red Sox 7-5 Monday in exhibition baseball. The Pirates improved to 8-13-3 overall and host Philadelphia today in Bradenton.
Japan rallied for two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat Mexico 6-5 in walk-off fashion in their World Baseball Classic Semifinal game in Miami. Japan will meet the United States tonight for the WBC championship.
