Although you may be leaving the Christmas Tree up through this week, Butler County officials say you have a number of options in order to recycle your tree.
Trees will be accepted at…
- Stirling Landscaping: Mercer Road. You must call for an appointment prior to dropping off. There is also a $2 fee. 724-287-7921.
- Seneca Landfill Compost Site: 421 Hartmann Road. Trees will be accepted during their normal operating hours.
- Penn Township: Drop trees off behind the Fire Department through the end of January.
- Slippery Rock Community Park: Free drop off from January 2nd through January 9th.
- Zelienople Borough: Trees will be picked up curbside on January 7th.
County officials say to make sure your tree is free of decorations and any plastic bags.
