A local lawmaker continues to move forward with his leadership role in the impeachment trial of the Philadelphia District Attorney.
Representative Tim Bonner, one of three impeachment managers in the upcoming trial of Larry Krasner, recently issued a response through legal representation to objections filed by Krasner.
Bonner maintains the filing made in Commonwealth Court is not valid as this trial is a procedural matter for the state General Assembly and not the courts. Oral arguments will continue before the court next week.
Bonner plans to assist with exhibiting the articles of impeachment to the Senate and managing the trial on behalf of the House. This process could result in Krasner’s removal from office which requires a two-thirds majority vote of the state Senate.
