New police dashboard video shows a dramatic rescue during a vehicle crash and fire that happened earlier this week.
The accident happened Wednesday around 1 p.m. on Fairground Hill Road.
A man in his 30s was found initially unresponsive in the SUV, which had caught on fire. Butler Township Police officer Rachel Dovidio helped pull the man from the vehicle, she spoke to our news partners at WPXI.
“When I looked into that vehicle, the passenger side was completely engulfed in flames, so if there was a passenger, there would have been no hope for them,” Dovidio said.
According to police, if they had arrived just 30 seconds later, the man may have suffered fatal injuries.
